An Anatomic Replacement recreates the normal Ball-and-Socket. A Reverse Shoulder Replacement swaps their positions, so the Shoulder Muscles can lift the Arm even when the Rotator Cuff is badly torn. I perform both Anatomic and Reverse Shoulder Replacements, and I choose the type for your Shoulder Replacement based on your age, activity, actual reason for the Surgery and the functional outcome goal.
