Long hours at a desk, a laptop at the wrong height and little movement through the day are a common cause of Back and Neck Pain. Most of it settles without Surgery. I’ll examine you, check whether you need a Scan, and give you a plan: Posture and workstation changes, Physiotherapy and exercises you can do around work.

Do you treat Back Pain at the evening clinic?
Yes. Back and Neck Pain is one of the most common reasons people see me at Balenso Ortho, Monday to Saturday, 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Will I need an MRI for Back Pain?
Not always. Most Back Pain can be assessed with an Examination. I’ll advise a Scan only if your symptoms or Examination suggest it will change the treatment.
Can sitting at a desk all day cause Back Pain?
It can contribute. Long periods in one position, poor workstation set-up and low activity all add load to the Back and Neck. Small changes to how you sit and move often help.
When should Back Pain be checked urgently?
Seek urgent medical care if Back Pain comes with weakness or numbness in the Legs, difficulty controlling your bladder or bowels, fever, or follows a fall or accident.
